Linux Engineer

DNS Corporation is seeking a Red Hat Linux Engineer in support of a large Information Technology program. The Linux Engineer must have three years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience, which includes engineering, architecture, deployment, configuration, and management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot servers across the enterprise.
  • Maintain and ensure optimum levels and system availability.
  • Promote and develop SOPs to ensure compliance with agency guidelines.
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement approved software upgrades, patches and on servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Provide senior level management input on ways to improve the stability, efficiency, and integrity of the environment.


  • Intermediate systems administration skills to include Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions.
  • Three years of experience scripting including Ruby, Python, and Bash.
  • Three years of experience with server administration technologies.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day Linux operating system installation, migration, and break-fix.
  • Experience with patching and firmware management.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining system security across Linux platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Data/Metrics Analyst

DNS Corporation is seeking a Data/Metrics Analyst to manage data, build reports, and deploy web solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing, measuring, and interpreting key business data using data analytic tools.
  • Prepare and present findings in the form of reports, charts, diagrams, and white papers for Executive decision making.
  • Make recommendations to improve operations.


  • Five years of experience with a good understanding of database management systems and current technologies.
  • Three years of experience gathering, organizing, and interpreting data using data modeling tools such as Erwin or Oracle Data Modeler.
  • Preferred knowledge of Python, Hypertext PreProcessor (PHP), Tableau, or other web languages/reporting tools.
  • Required knowledge of or basic understanding of SQL, HTML/CSS, or any other programming or declarative languages.
  • Must have an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Science, Mathematics or related field of study.

Help Desk Lead

DNS Corporation is seeking a Help Desk Lead to provide day-to-day supervision of a staff of five or more technicians. Must possess strong experience in an enterprise IT environment; operating, maintaining, and updating hardware, software, applications, and security controls within designated timeframes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues involving multiple platforms, including Windows OS, UNIX/Linux, Apple OSX, and iOS.
  • Plan and roll out new or updated desktop technologies.
  • Implement and maintain security controls and knowledge management documentation.
  • Ensure that all phases of help desk operation are coordinated, monitored, documented, tracked, and resolved within mandated timeframes.
  • Ensure technical standard operations are utilized to provide in areas of user access, electronic mail, applications and user data.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation and reporting of metrics, daily and service level reporting and resolution of incidents.


  • Ten or more years of hands-on technical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a staff of five or more full time technicians.
  • Knowledge of service desk management and standard management reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline) or an Associate’s degree in Information Technology (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline) plus a CompTIA A+ Certification.
